How do you get off the bench?
Here is a news flash – you can’t win or lose if you are not in the game. You need to be on the court, getting minutes and playing. Every minute you play you learn more, you grow and, your chance of winning increases.
It is the same when you are starting a business or venturing into entrepreneurship.
You can read all the books you want.
You can listen to all the experts say the same thing over and over again.
You can come up with all the ideas in the world but until you actually take action you will never know if it is a winner.
And, guess what?
Anyone can come up with a great idea or new invention but not everyone can launch or grow a great business. It takes a lot of hard work, discipline and creativity to make it successful.
How many people have you met that said something along the lines of:
- “Oh, I thought of that years ago.”
“That is not new, it has been around forever.” - “I can’t believe that company is promoting this – they stole my idea.”
The people or businesses that are successful actually take action to get the idea our of their head and into the world. They make it happen. You can make it happen too.
You need to take time to refine your idea, so it is the best it can be before you launch it.
You need to think bigger, so you are not just implementing what you know.
You need to put your idea out there to test it and get feedback.
It is time to stop being an armchair athlete. Get your ass off the bench and put your ideas to the test.
